Glass Cockpit for Hawk Mk50/60 series trainer jets
Patria has designed and implemented a new Glass Cockpit system integration for the Finnish Air Force Hawks. The Hawk upgrade has passed all required verification and validation tests and is now in serial production. The Glass Cockpit improves the quality of the fighter pilot training by introducing modern systems, avionics and displays as well as mission planning and debriefing capabilities.
The training efficiency is also improved by expanding the use of the Hawks into training areas where a front line fighter was required before. In addition, replacing ageing avionics with modern digital systems lowers the system maintenance cost.
To complement the training system, a Flight Procedures Trainer for the upgraded cockpit is also available.
