MASS Mini-UAV - Modular Airborne Sensor System
Patria's Modular Airborne Sensor System is a multi-mission mini-UAV solution for applications such as reconnaissance, surveillance, border control, law enforcement, NBC emission detection and assessment as well as fire and rescue.
With the multiple payload options the system offers enhanced situational awareness in real time for both military as well as civil authorities. No dedicated piloting skills are needed as the system can be operated fully autonomously.
The system has been delivered to the Finnish Defence Forces as part of a program set to test surveillance solutions for replacement of anti-personnel mines. Currently over 500 missions have been completed, including also successful field trials in export countries.
The system portable by two persons consists of 1-3 UAVs with multiple payload options, communication suite and a ground control station on a ruggedized laptop-PC. The system also includes a telescopic antenna mast, launching equipment, batteries and spares all included in the same backpack or transportation case.
