Pauli, M.Sc., Electrical Engineering
Test Flight Engineer Training, Empire Test Pilot's School
Pauli came to Patria in the autumn of 2005 as a Design Engineer, to work on, e.g., design, integration and testing duties on RF and microwave regions. His interest was piqued by the subject area of duties listed in a recruitment notice, radar and electronic warfare. What made Patria an appealing place of employment was its close cooperation with the Finnish Air Force.
Pauli has attended several precise training events lasting a few days. In 2008, he completed test flight engineer training in England and started work as a Test Flight Engineer in 2009. In Pauli's opinion, Patria offers diversified and challenging duties, and the opportunity to switch jobs is based on one’s own decision.
Pauli is motivated by new and challenging work duties. The continuation of his career seems interesting and challenging, as he is about to start new, closer collaboration with a customer.
Patria supports staff's leisure activities, especially possibilities for exercise. Pauli wishes Patria would be more visible among students also beyond Helsinki and Tampere. In Oulu and Lappeenranta, for example, too little about jobs offered by Patria is known.
Pauli, what would you like to tell students who want to work for Patria?
"Patria offers interesting and challenging work duties that are based on long-term collaboration with customers."
Pauli's tip for new specialists:
"Forget about the pressures of making a profit in the quarterly economy – join us and do expert work in high technology :)! Try contact people at the workplace you apply for, and ask employees for feedback on their work and tips on applying for a job."
